No.14: warmth, fullness
But something has happened to me lately. I have found myself full of warmth (O lovely word!). There doesn’t seem to be any reason for it. It doesn’t come from anywhere and it doesn’t seek anything. It’s just there. And everything that happens occurs within it – and by that very fact, all things become warm.
I don’t feel the need to ‘do’ anything. Of course, there are things to be done (shopping, washing up, wood) but they have no weight. They rise and fall like waves on the great ocean of warmth. Actually, though I call it ‘warmth’, it’s fullness. A gift. The grace of existence, one could say.

And here are some links.
The whole room became filled with gold, as if by a strong sun…my whole body was becoming GOLD, liquid gold, scintillating, warm gold. I WAS GOLD. It was the most pleasurable sensation I had ever known, like an orgasm. It was the secret of life, the alchemist’s secret of life.
As a fire shall ye pass and be past; Ye are gods, and behold, ye shall die and the waves be upon you at last.
I want to drown in that ocean.
This is star-bursting fullness.
And out of that comes fullness and greatness, illumination and action balancing each other. This is what hexagram 55 of the I Ching says. But listen to ‘Mystery Train’ – you’ll hear it.
Everything comes out of the hit, the first and only gift.
We become part of the circle of gifts, part of the revelatory transmission.
Inexhaustible abundance, which is freedom, grace, the power that makes all things new – who wouldn’t want to be in that world, the world of natural bounty, where we’re dipping in the golden waters and the spirits are spiralling above us?
Glory is itself interwoven with grace, the pure gift, bestowed simply because we are blessed.
These moments were an extraordinary quickening of self-consciousness…and at the same time of the direct sensation of existence in the most intense degree…For this moment one might give one’s whole life.
